), a national distributor of top-quality Safety & Industrial supplies is searching for a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our maintenance team! The chosen candidate will maintain the building and grounds and equipment of the company by performing a variety of maintenance duties including carpentry, painting, plumbing, welding, basic equipment and facility repairs, electrical work and landscaping.
Responsibilities will be to:
Maintain the building and grounds as well as the equipment of the company by performing a variety of maintenance duties including, carpentry, painting, plumbing, welding, basic equipment and facility and electrical repairs.
Perform preventative maintenance work on vehicles, mobile equipment and our warehouse conveyor system.
Maintain the preventative maintenance schedules.
Organize, chart and secure tools and equipment for the maintenance department.
Handle outdoor walkways and lawn care with landscaping duties as needed.
Cover the Day shift position- 8:
00am-5:
00pm.
Work occasional overtime and be on call for maintenance emergencies.
Skills and Experience we like to see:
3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with a very strong background in carpentry, painting and mechanics.
Certifications in the electrical field are a plus.
Someone who can handle general electrical repairs of the premises and machinery.
Strong knowledge of running and repairing maintenance equipment and tools.
Good understanding of building codes and how to handle repairs.
Ability to read and interpret documents, basic math skills and excellent communication skills.
A clean driver's license.
